The counter has moved from a handwritten book to numbered printed receipts.
Each receipt carries the devotee's name, family member names, rasi, nakshatra and gothra where given, the Archanai type, the amount and the cashier's name. The numbering is continuous with no gaps, and the day's total is calculated from the recorded transactions rather than tallied by hand.
